Advanced tools & server setup
For troubleshooting the original server-configured restaurant. Use the location controls above for historical imports.

Server connection setup
Add these environment variables in cPanel → Setup Node.js App, save and restart Penny:
- TOAST_CLIENT_ID
- TOAST_CLIENT_SECRET (keep private)
- TOAST_RESTAURANT_GUID (Toast location GUID, not your custom Location ID)
- TOAST_BUSINESS_AREA = Cantina
Use the automatic sync controls below and install the cPanel scheduled worker described in DEPLOY-3.2.11.txt. The worker runs even while Penny is closed; TOAST_AUTO_SYNC is no longer needed. Timezone defaults to America/New_York and business cutoff to 4 AM; match the cutoff to Toast.
An import refreshes that date’s API records. Overlapping active uploaded reports block the import to prevent double-counting. Historical sync stores API time entries separately; saved salary/payroll reports remain available.
